Busy
Got back from two days at the office base. It was actually pretty good this time - spent two days doing something I found an absolute joy - got to love work days like those!
Last night I went on my first night out to a pub quiz with some of the people from work. That was good too, although we made a very poor showing, coming 10th (out of 16 teams). We started off so well, and then just flopped. But apparently this was an improvement on previous team efforts - the first time they were second from bottom, and last time 4th from bottom. The plan is to make some sort of attempt to go every week - and given the nature of the job, the team will revolve every week. Unfortunately, I am now not going back for about a month, so I will not be going.
Weekend seems to have suddenly snowballed into a flurry of events. Friday night is a night out with the girlies. Saturday *may* be a geeky trip with FKM, but isn’t feeling well, so that may not come off. I hope he figures it out soon, so that I know just how much to drink Friday night! (talking of FKM - can you say “Mixed messages”? Completely doing my head in!). Saturday I am off to a party - given that the start time is 2pm, I am guessing the plan was a barbecue, but I’ve seen the weather forecast, so that’s not happening! I guess it will be a ‘cram as many people into a small living room and drink lots of wine’ party. Oh dear. How awful. I won’t like that.
Not heard from LELI, who started his new job this week. I miss him.
